ONE BREATH AT A TIME

ree

Who are you underneath the skin, blood and bones?

Imagine if in this moment you dropped your body and with it all the stories and identities that went with it and the life you we living. Now, who are you?

When you are no longer the mind, when you are no longer the thoughts, when you are no longer the job, the titles, the stories, the colour of your skin or your eyes, no longer your likes or dislikes, nor personality or anything you have ever experienced. Everything you have ever identified with or with being....GONE... Now, who are you?

Now imagine you are simply a spirit, merely an energy and essence. The breath of God, that was once breathed into a physical body and now has been breathed back into God, the formless. Just an essence of God now free from the limitations of the physical world, you now see all beings as just that. The very essence of God/Source/creator, no different from you. That very source being LOVE, and you being an extension of it, now remembering that you are a BEING of LOVE. You are the very essence of love. Pure. Unconditional. Love. And at this very moment, you pop out of your body and remember it all, and the life you lived like a dream fades; you laugh at yourself for all the suffering you created for yourself by simply forgetting that which you are. You see, all you were here for was to be what you are, and that IS LOVE. You remember that you are EVERYTHING and EVERYTHING is YOU. You see the aspects of yourself in the forms of other bodies were all opportunities to LOVE God through yourself and through others. All opportunities to experience God and experience yourself as God. You remember who you are, and this remembrance washes over you like a cosmic wave of light, crystallizing you in love. A love that brings you home and washes away all the residual energy of the physical world.

You see the perfection in it all. In every experience, even the painful ones, were for your greatest good, and all along God was LOVING you through every breath, breathing life in and out of you. Your breath being the very proof of God's presence in you and every being around you. No one being less love or important or less God in them than you. You see it all, and all you have left in you is LOVE, and all you see when you look into the eyes of other's is that same love that you are.

Now God breathes you back into your body with your eyes and heart wide open, you fall to your knees in a puddle of tears. Gratitude feels your heart and overflows into the earth, watering the seeds for those yet to come. Reverence for your life and all of life washes through your entire body. How loved you are, by God in all its forms. In the form of the wind gently brushing your face like loving fingers, or the earth holding you as you weep onto her soil. The one that breathes life into you breathes it into everything and everyone else, eyes wide open you now see God in all things and know no separation between you and the world around you. You are it all. Endlessly flowing as one, in and out of form. Like a drop in the ocean, you may be one drop, but you are also the waves crashing upon the shore and the whole ocean itself.

With new eyes and a new heart, you prepare to take your first step in a world you now see clearly. As your heart is overflowing with love, ready to pour into God in all its forms, you ask, "How may I be in devotion to that which I am?"

This is awakening, and we do not need to die to remember. We are remembering now, with every step and every breath, God is calling us home to remember the truth of who we are. With each heart that opens, the illusion fades a little more, making way for a brand new Earth that is being birthed through us and our very breath. We are the miracles of God, and through our bodies, God will perform miracles. No more will we suffer in forgetfulness; we are coming HOME. One breath at a time.

In Devotion,

She who remembers.
